Royal Hotel Montevergine

Converted rooms with infrared Sauna are called "Spa with Finnish Sauna" - 30€ is a pure scam - be aware and stay away except you would stay only 1 night from 22-7 or so!!! in 2 words: you'll get what you pay for: for 36€ a double room with breakfast you get a roof, a bed and bathroom. But: - walls are paper thin - you can only sleep when others do! - spring matress makes your partner move when you move (very soft) - waterpressure in sink is very low (we had a room for handicapped) - breakfast is value 3€ max even less: capuccino was cold (filled luke in ice cold cups), juice in small plastic cups and cornetto+Cake and yoghurt - What drove me nuts is their misleading (not to say "lying") website which pretends that they would have a "spa" on site. They don't have any!!! They have some rooms which they converted to "spa" rooms LED-shower, jacuzzi and infrared Sauna (latter they call Finnish Sauna which it isn't) - they tried to charge me 30€ for this "service" which I asked them to pay back (they did) In a nutshell: don't even think about to book this hotel for more than 1 night and don't even think one second to use their non-existin "spa"

Ripoff! We ordered 2 plates of Antipasto, 2 beers and a bottle of water. Each plate consisted of 1 piece of cheese, 4 slices of prosciutto, 2 slices of cured sausage, some other meat and some bread. Total was 30, while the menu said 7 for the salumi, and 6 for a cheese platter. Note that we didn’t receive a cheese platter but solely 1 little slice of cheese. He said we received more than the normal plate, but the whole place felt like a rip-off. He kept offering more things like coffee or amaro after we repeatedly said no thank you. The receipt also didn’t match his story. No reason the whole place was empty!
